I'm LCDR Drew Martinez, Commanding Officer of Mobile Mine Assembly Unit (MOMAU) ONE. MOMAU ONE is in Bldg 78 onboard Naval Weapons Station, Seal Beach, California . We are tasked with supporting exercise mining efforts on the west coast. MOMAU ONE maintains a stockpile of underwater Exercise and Training (ET) mines, which are used by west coast commands to train personnel in minefield planting and mine countermeasures (MCM) operations. Unit ONE also provides mine assembly teams to train organic mine assembly teams onboard afloat units in mine assembly techniques and procedures.
